Abstract
El libro Las maras, identidades juveniles al límite, forma parte de la colección Estudios Transnacionales. Constituye un trabajo colectivo, dedicado al análisis del fenómeno social de las maras. Reúne un conjunto de ensayos que permiten vislumbrar las continuidades y rupturas que se crean desde los diversos discursos2 y representaciones sociales que se tienen de estos agrupamientos identitarios; el hilo conductor del libro nos invita a la reflexión a partir de la complejidad de ejes temáticos que se desarrollan, facilitando la lectura y comprensión de la heterogeneidad de aristas que se abren en relación a estas identidades.
