Abstract
En México, una gran parte de los estudios socio-demográficos sobre la relación de las mujeres con el mercado de trabajo remunerado se fundamenta en datos de corte transversal. Si bien esto ha estimulado una basta serie de investigaciones que intentan comprender y caracterizar el trabajo femenino, también es cierto que ha limitado el abordaje a momentos específicos de la vida de las personas. Esto impide tener una perspectiva general de cómo se configura el comportamiento laboral femenino en el transcurso del tiempo.
