Abstract

This contribution analyzes the debates of the Nicaraguan feminist activism, which occurred in 2006. A few months before the election of Daniel Ortega a new feminist organization was formed: the Autonomous Women’s Movement. Its members decided to ally with the Sandinista Renovation Movement party, sharing with it the priority objective of not allowing the Sandinista National Liberation Front came to power “the worst case scenario”. This work explains these processes and analyzes their impacts on other feminist groups, also study the meanings of the revolutionary model in strategic divergences of militancy.
